IT Portfolio Manager
The posted compensation range of $56.83 - $82.40 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Responsible for portfolio oversight, management and delivery of all investment related activities within the assigned portfolio; selection, prioritization and integrated delivery roadmap. Design Program controls for swift mobilization, delivery and value realization. Implement staff develop to ensure top performance. Provide operational leadership for programs.
Consistently delivers against agreed investment plans across the enterprise; is responsive and realistic about time/resources to deliver. Applies systematic thinking to identify new solutions. Able to win impact and influence regardless of organization boundaries and relationships. Is personally credible. Maintains confidences.
Develop strategic pathway, teams and process to transform from project to product mindset.
Partner closely with IT Senior Leadership, focus on efficiency and transparency and continue to enhance operational experience.
The role will also engage with Business units and lead activities that will help the company transform toward strategic goals. This role has responsibility for curating a single demand signal, single supply and capacity plan for the technology and digital team as it relates to the portfolio of investments. Also, ensures tight sequencing including orchestration of cross product/team dependencies.
Facilitates demand management practices to balance capacity with demand in support of the rolling portfolio management process.
Oversee the Project and program managers assigned to portfolio to follow standard methodology, tools and delivery methodologies used across the portfolio.
Provide input into the creation/ development/ update of standardized Project / Program Management artifacts/ methodology in collaboration with the ITD and PM community to identify ways in elevating overall ITD delivery.
Measure portfolio performance versus SLAs and generate performance reports.
Publish executive level scorecards, status reports, and metrics to the broader organization that provide transparency into the ITD Portfolio.
Drive excellence and best practices in Agile and multi-delivery methodologies.
Leads quarterly roadmap sessions.
Owns the consolidated high-level tracking/reporting of the end-to-end investment portfolio from intake/discovery, governance, and project delivery for the committee.
Perform ongoing analysis of the portfolio to look for synergies and/or issues and risks that the organization should address.
Facilitate portfolio meetings with key Tower/ Division CIO stakeholders.
Works with stakeholders to (re-)prioritize based on funding / resource allocations, and strategic alignment.
Review end-to-end project portfolio (intake, governance, delivery), and follow-up on any escalated items around process constraints, outstanding action items, resourcing, information gaps, etc.
Assess resource demands across the portfolio and work to identify constraints by role, escalate conflicts and work to address those conflicts within and across Portfolio’s.
Assess Portfolio Master schedule reviewing interdependencies within and outside the portfolio and address conflicts.
Coordinates with Finance to ensure Accounting processes are followed and that necessary CIP/Activity tracking codes are in place.
Understands the financial commitments of the portfolio and works to approve associated spend on Purchase Orders.
Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles in relation to project budgets, purchasing and analysis of financial results.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Leadership experience managing cross functional teams.
- Collaborating with director level management and key stakeholders.
- Previous Portfolio Management experience desired
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification preferred.
- Previous experience in Healthcare IT.
- Significant experience using and optimizing Project Management tools i.e. Planview, MS Project, ServiceNow.
- Experience in delivering projects and managing programs.
- Experience in implementing, monitoring and optimizing project management methodology.
- Superior people management skills.
