The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $25.33 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

An early childhood teacher substitute is responsible for the supervision of the children at the Center in accord with the mission of Mercy Employee Child Care Center. To plan and conduct a program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated area with two three-semester-hour early childhood education college courses with one course being either Introduction to Early Childhood Education (ECE 101) or Guidance Strategies (ECE 103), and at least 910 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
Twelve semester hours in college-level credits in child growth and development and/or early childhood education, which must include either Introduction to early childhood education (ECE 101) or guidance strategies (ECE103) and at least 1,365 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
Completion of a vocational or occupational education sequence in child growth and development, and at least 1,820 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
Completion of a course of training approved by the Department that includes training and work experience with children and at least 1,820 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
A current Colorado Level 1 credential and at least 3,640 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
Two three-credit college course with one course being either Introduction to early childhood education (ECE 101) or guidance strategies (ECE 103), and at least 3,640 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
Associate's Degree in Child Development or
early childhood education. Sixty semester hours in early childhood education, which must include either Introduction to early childhood education (ECE 101) or guidance strategies (ECE 103) and at least 910 hours of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children six years of age who are not related to the individual
Current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or certified Child Care Professional (CCP) or other Development-approved credential (No additional experience required)
Masters Degree Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child Development, or Child Psychology
Documentation of early childhood teacher qualifications and ability to pass the Central Registry Inquiry, Colorado Bureau of Investigation fingerprint check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint check.
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
