Join our team as a Radiology Technologist (RT). In the Radiology Technologist role you will:

  • Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
  • Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards of safe radiation practice.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists.
  • Act as a clinical resource to students, staff technologist and other hospital personnel.
  • Assure current standards of practice for the unit.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as required
  • One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology-R.T. (R) (ARRT) required
  • Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required

Physical Requirements-Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly

At Mercy Hospital, our busy Imaging department offers big city volumes, with a small-town feel. As a Level III trauma hospital in a scenic Colorado town, known for outdoor recreation, we specialize in a variety of patients and have been recognized for our outstanding patient experience and safety. Across all modalities, we currently have over 60 employees, and we proudly complete about 105,000 exams per year. These different modalities include Xray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, ECHO, Mammography and Interventional Radiology. Our compassionate employees gain valuable experience in a high-paced environment with potential opportunity to cross-train in different modalities.
