Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Nursing Unit Secretary, you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

- Monitors the electronic record for new provider-entered orders and coordinates their completion with nursing staff and other departments as appropriate.
- Utilizes computer technology to access and exchange data, such as lab results and interdepartmental communications.
- Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed, reporting findings promptly to the Registered Nurse and maintaining thorough and confidential patient charts and records.
- Performs clerical duties, maintains department/unit logs, and coordinates services as needed.
- Greets patients/visitors and directs or escorts them to the desired location.
- Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
- State registered CNA license
Preferred
- Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience
