Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director, Nursing Services, you will provide comprehensive leadership and accountability for the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service, driving quality patient care, and fostering strong physician and associate relations.
Every day you will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all functions of the service, including quality, administrative, and financial outcomes. You will oversee patient care delivery, establish nursing practice standards, and ensure adherence to hospital goals, policies, and regulatory standards.
To be successful in this role, you will possess extensive nursing leadership experience, a proven ability to manage complex clinical operations and large teams, along with strong strategic planning and financial acumen. You will also demonstrate an unwavering commitment to quality assurance, patient safety, and professional practice within a highly regulated healthcare environment.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the service and hospitals' operations and its programs and initiating required changes or improvements.
- Establishes a culture of teamwork and collaboration to provide quality patient care.
- Develops and tracks both operational and capital budgets for assigned departments.
- Directs the development of strategic and operational programs for the service area.
- Plans and implements established departmental and service policies and procedures which complement nursing division and hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborates effectively with physicians, peers, staff, and administration to promote interdisciplinary communication and cooperation.
The Director oversees the strategic and operational functions of the our ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women’s & Infants’ service lines.
We are offering a sign-on bonus equivalent to 10% of the base salary for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job RequirementsRequired
- A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN).
- A Master’s degree in healthcare required within two (2) years of hire. OR, A Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) may be considered if the candidate holds a current BSN. Required within two (2) years of hire.
- Four (4) years progressive clinical leadership experience.
- Registered Nurse: RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.
- Nursing Specialty Certification: Sit within 6 months. Must achieve within 1 year of hire or transfer to the role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Preferred
- Experience in acute care.
