The posted compensation range of $15.15 - $20.84 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. At CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs patients are at the heart of our care. Our full range of medical services include a new pavilion featuring enhancements in heart and vascular care surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities
Our patients breathe easy when it comes to respiratory care. See what we did there? Our Respiratory Care Techs play an important role in assisting our Respiratory Therapists. Assisting in the care of our patients to ensure they are getting the best care is a huge role in what you will do. This is a great start to what you will be doing in the future as you continue to make your way through the Respiratory program!
What you’ll do:
- Administers therapy according to physician orders as applicable to above.
- Sets up and operates various types of therapeutic equipment as applicable to above.
- Performs or assists in all aspects of airway management as applicable to above.
- Disassembles, cleans, and/or delivers contaminated equipment to be sterilized for re-use.
- Responds to and assists in all Code Blue’s in the hospital on assigned shift.
- Assists with on call.
- Performs routine and stat EKGs.
- Enter charges in the computer for billing purposes.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory therapy program.
BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire from American Heart Association.
