Location: W Broadway Clinic - Council Bluffs, IA -- Pediatrics Clinic

Schedule: Monday: 8a-5p, Tuesday: 645a-5p, Wednesday: 8a-5p, Thursday: 8a-1230p and Friday: 8a-5p

We're a vibrant and beloved pediatric clinic seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Medical Assistant (NOT Med Aide / CNA) who's ready to sprinkle some magic on our little patients' healthcare journeys. This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to be a crucial part of comforting worried parents, making kids feel brave, and ensuring our clinic runs smooth!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Be the first friendly face and warm voice that greets our families, making them feel welcome and at ease from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Prepping patients for exams and administering vaccines with a gentle touch and a reassuring word. 
  • Collecting specimens, preparing them for the lab, and ensuring everything is handled with the utmost care.
  • Answering questions, providing clear instructions, and offering a comforting presence to parents who might be feeling a bit overwhelmed.

**CHI Health requires that ALL Medical Assistants / Certified Medical Assistants MUST be a graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
  • Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
