Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiovascular Lab Specialist, you will effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular procedures, ensuring precision and optimal patient outcomes.

Every day you will support diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, pacemaker/defibrillator implantations, intra-aortic balloon pump operations (IABP), and electrophysiology studies, leveraging your expertise in these critical procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced technical proficiency in specialized cardiovascular procedures, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with physicians in a high-stakes clinical environment.

  • Effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized Cardiovascular procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intraaortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
  • Evaluates and documents patient status and responds appropriately; intervenes/refers in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Reflects clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency based on knowledge/skills and exceeds essential job responsibilities per department standards.
  • Reflects commitment to continued learning and sharing knowledge with patients and coworkers.
  • Recognizes and promptly acts upon unusual results or patient response by informing primary health care team to ensure patient safety and foster optimal outcomes.
  • Independently prioritizes clinical and administrative work and identifies process improvements.

Schedule: PRN- five shifts per six-week scheduling period. 

30 minute On-Call Radius.

$4.75/hr Cath Lab Differential Applies upon hire. 

15% PRN differential applies. 

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • A graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science or graduate of a programmatically accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
  • Must obtain within 18 months: RCIS through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Or RCES, Or ARRT with post primary certification of CardiacInterventional Radiography through the ARRT
  • Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire

Preferred

  • Experience in invasive cardiovascular technology.
  • Cardiac diagnostic/interventional procedural experience.
