Imaging Office Support Specialist

As our Imaging Office Support Specialist, you will serve as a primary point of contact, ensuring a positive experience for everyone interacting with the Imaging Department.

Every day you will handle patient interactions, financial processing, information management, and provide support to the clinical team, exercising good judgment in various situations.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong customer service, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality while supporting departmental operations.

• Consistently performs the registration process timely and accurately, assuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and signed by the patient, and scanned into Meditech and/or Synapse as needed.
  
• Collects all copays/payments due from outpatients during the registration process.
  
• Actively seeks to promote and helps to maintain the goals for the department and reflects the values/mission statement of the organization.
  
• Demonstrates ability to make independent decisions, utilize good human relations skills, and maintain confidentiality.
  
• Accurately load external imaging exams into the PACS system under the direction of physicians or staff.
  
• Transports patients as needed (via wheelchair if necessary); as well as assisting patients into the changing room to get prepared for their exam.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
  
• Experience in a healthcare environment or clinical education in a healthcare environment. Medical terminology, exceptional organizational skill and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
• BLS from the American Heart Association
