The posted compensation range of $21.99 - $33.50 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Assists the cardiac rehabilitation team to educate and provide exercise leadership for inpatients and outpatients with the goal of restoring optimal functional activity and understanding of cardiac disease management. Develops, implements, and evaluates exercise programs for patients. Assesses cardiovascular and metabolic effects of exercise for cardiac and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Creates educational materials and sessions for patients. Promote health and fitness through a variety of programs in the Wellness Center
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related from an accredited university or college.
Two years of experience in a Cardiopulmonary Rehab or other clinical experience OR 600 hours of preceptor-supervised clinical experience in the specialties of Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Diagnostics or Adult Fitness Training to include Phase I, Phase II and Phase III exercise leadership in hospital setting Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology in patient with multiple comorbidities, understanding of medications, risk factor modifications strategies, counseling techniques and uses of behavioral change programs and technologies applicable to Cardiac Rehab Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
BLS
ACLS
American College of Sports Medicine Certification
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
This role works Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
