Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Echo Tech Lead, you will provide specialized cardiovascular care, maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort, and expertly performing/reviewing patient assessments and diagnostic cardiac procedures.

Every day you will demonstrate proficiency in the operation and maintenance of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, evaluate patient responses to procedures, and ensure the highest standards of care are upheld within the specialized area of operation.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Echocardiography Technologist, possess advanced technical expertise in cardiac procedures, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to patient safety and quality in all diagnostic imaging functions.

  • Provides leadership, support, and coordination to technical and support staff.
  • Performs accurate and thorough echocardiograms as ordered by physician.
  • Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
  • Responsible for orienting, training, and mentoring staff and students.
  • Recognizes and promptly acts upon unusual results or patient response by informing primary health care team to ensure patient safety and foster optimal outcomes.
  • Problem solves immediate issues that may negatively impact patient care.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
  • Currently registered as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or via CCI as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • Two (2) years of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)

Preferred

  • Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or Graduate of a programmatically accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
  • Previous leadership experience
