Responsibilities
The System Nursing Clinical Informaticist provides guidance in the integration of clinical content, workflow, and
operational processes into the designated EHR system standard. The System Nursing Clinical Informaticist participates
with facility, system and project leadership to ensure successful adoption of new functionality for designated EHR system
and related applications. The System Nursing Clinical Informaticist provides expert analytical expertise to current
workflow processes and assists in the development of process and operational redesign recommendations leading to a
solution and/or functional system requirements.
This position will provide support to St. Francis Hospital & St. Francis Interquest Hospital. This will require a combination of onsite and remote support. Applicants must reside in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required, BSN
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
Licensure and Certifications
- Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado required
- Nursing Informatics Certification preferred
- Epic Application Certification preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
- Understanding of hospital, ambulatory and post-acute care operations, interdepartmental processes and interdisciplinary interactions and workflows in the healthcare setting
- Basic proficiency with PC software applications (e.g. word processing, MS applications)
- Experience with process improvement and/or information systems within a clinical setting, preferred
- Epic experience
- 4 years Clinical experience
