Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Food-Nutrition Quality Coordinator, working remotely, is responsible for overseeing operational day-to-day activities to ensure the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program is running efficiently, and meets the expectations and needs of the department.  Oversees the quality improvement and administrative aspects of the FNS national program, and has collaborative input on a range of FNS projects.  This position works on assignments related to project development, FNS management initiatives, and internal operational procedures.  A primary function of this role is the development of various FNS quality and recipe programs including compliance with regulatory requirements, along with enhancing the guest experience.

Essential Functions include:

  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining the FNS system Quality Improvement (QI) program.
  • Implement, maintain and enhance the food service management system including recipe management, menu development and nutrient analyzes for appropriateness and accuracy. 
  • Collaborates with the culinary and clinical nutrition teams for recipe development and nutrition soundness.
  • Assists with development and implementation of all system training guidance and materials and competency tools for FNS positions.
  • Provides leadership collaboration, while ensuring food and nutrition regulatory survey read readiness.  Leads oversight of mock survey tracers and monthly (or designated) QI audit reviews.
  • Collaborates with various FNS operational processes within all CommonSpirit Health regions, as well as other departments as needed.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field, or five (5) yearso f related job or industry experience.
  • Four (four) years of experience, or three (3) years of healthcare food service experience.
  • ServSafe  Manager (SERVSAFMGR)
  • ServSafe General Certification within sixty (60) days of hire.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) within twentyfour (24) months of hire.
