Responsibilities

Job Summary:

To oversee the day to day floor operations in the scheduling department to ensure that patients are being scheduled, and seen in clinic in a timely and professional manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee front desk/check out at Main Campus.
  • Oversee physician schedules to ensure that schedules are booked appropriately and completely.
  • Participate in training of new staff.
  • Working knowledge of all functions within the scheduling department.
  • Resolve staff related problems.
  • Work with other supervisors/managers to resolve scheduling problems or to resolve patient concerns.
  • Consult with physicians/clinical staff to schedule patients or resolve scheduling questions.
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback on processes and challenges to the Scheduling Manager.
  • Provide and implement process improvement ideas.
  • Work in all areas during peak times, vacations, illnesses, etc.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 1 year experience in the discipline OR 3 years' experience in the discipline OR Master's Degree and no experience.
  • Five years in medical registration/scheduling setting preferred.
