Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Plumber, you will be a vital craftsperson responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water, drainage, and waste systems critical to our facilities' safe and efficient operation.
Every day, you will meticulously diagnose plumbing issues, interpret blueprints and schematics, and execute repairs and installations on various plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and sewer lines.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. You should be committed to upholding the highest standards of workmanship, dedicated to continuous learning in plumbing technologies, and genuinely passionate about ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our water and waste systems.
- Completes assigned work orders and/or PMs in a timely manner or informs supervisor of any problems accomplishing a task.
- Immediately identifies and informs supervisor of any malfunctioning equipment.
- Achieves to reduce maintenance and utility costs through improved operational procedures.
- Helps to maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Maintains a professional attitude toward patients, visitors and staff at all times.
- Varies work schedule or shift to meet the department staffing needs.
Required
- High School Graduate, upon hire
- Or GED general studies, upon hire
Preferred
- Vocational School Grad
- At least 3 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience
- At least 1 year of practical experience in an accredited hospital facilities department
