The posted compensation range of $65.94 - $98.09 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Perfusion Coordinator is responsible for the overall direction and administration of the Cardiovascular Perfusion Service. The Perfusion Coordinator is accountable to the Vice President of Surgical Services for the quality of and the overall efficiency of the service. The Perfusion Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of hospital and departmental philosophy, policy, goals, objectives, and procedures that pertain to the CV Perfusion Service.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Defines the organizational plan and lines of communication and interprets and implements the scope of practice.
- Implements a perfusion scheduling process.
- Defines the qualifications, competencies, and staffing complement.
- Recommends annual budget within the hospital’s procedure and time frame.
- Participates in strategic planning to incorporate perfusion services into the organization.
- Serves as/or supports the ECMO Coordinator in strategic planning, staffing plan, and quality review for the ECMO program.
- Interprets and implements AmSECT standards, recommended practices and guidelines.
- Develops written policies and procedures for the perfusion department in collaboration with the perfusion staff and appropriate departments supporting the mission and scope of service.
- Develops and maintains supply and equipment inventories for perfusion services and allocated resources to meet patient/perfusion/physician needs.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
Completion of an accredited or approved perfusion program.
Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. BLS. Licensed Perfusionist in the State of TN.
