Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for continuous observation and analysis of patients' cardiac rhythms to detect and report changes.
Every day you will meticulously monitor EKG strips, identify arrhythmias, measure intervals, and promptly communicate critical findings to nursing staff and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation.
To be successful, you will demonstrate sharp observational skills, a thorough understanding of cardiac rhythms, and the ability to act quickly and precisely under pressure, crucial for patient safety and timely intervention.
- Telemetry Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for multiple simultaneously, utilizing advanced telemetry monitoring equipment.
- Accurately identify and document any changes in heart rhythm, including arrhythmias, ischemia, and other abnormalities.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess the significance of observed changes and escalate concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and responsiveness, ensuring timely and accurate communication of critical information.
