The posted compensation range of $15.00 - $20.33 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Responsible for ordering monitors, monitor application, patient education, monitor follow up and documentation, answering phone messages and keeping track of inventory.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Order Zio and Biotel monitors in respective data bases.
- Apply Zio home/in-clinic monitors if assistance is needed within the defined parameters set by CHI.
- Contact physician offices for missing or incomplete, non-compliant orders.
- Call patients for follow-up regarding their monitors when needed. This may include notifying the patient to discuss monitor questions or issues whihc may include the monitor not showing readable data, loast monitors, incorrect mailing information, or to facilitate the return of the monitor.
- Enter nurse notes into the EHR and task appropriate groups with any necessary changes with the appointment.
- Patient education.
- Send nurse messages on patients who fail to apply/return monitors.
- Answer monitor related messages.
- Monitor Biotel and for urgent messages. Report to the nurse.
- Fax orders to HIM daily.
- Update monitor logs with each application.
- Responsible for moving Zio reports to appropriate folder for report to put in the chart in coordinator's absence.
- Assist with renaming ROI's and orders on the M:Drive.
Qualifications
License/Cert:
- BLS Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant, Ambulatory Monitor Tech or Certified Cardiographic Tech preferred.
Qualifications:
- Two years in a medical office or hospital setting with strong background in EKG analysis and/or arrhythmia interpretation.
- Experience in lieu of education/certification will be considered.
