The posted compensation range of $17.24 - $24.35 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Full time Nights 7p-7a
The Telecommunicator’ s primary function is to receive and prioritize calls for service for both the Emergency Medical Services and Public Safety Departments. They obtain pertinent information, assign appropriate personnel / resources to the call and further instruct the caller as deemed necessary, and document all information in the appropriate format as required or directed. The Telecommunicator monitors the CCTV for the Glenwood and Hixson Security system as well as other security and maintenance systems.
The Telecommunicator will:
1. Answer all phone lines for both EMS and Public Safety in a professional manner.
2. Obtain all appropriate information to prioritize and mitigate the call.
3. Assign the appropriate resources (EMS or Public Safety) required to mitigate the call at hand.
4. Maintain a working knowledge of the unit(s) on duty with regard to status and location.
5. Monitor the security panic alarm system, the boiler alarm system, and CCTV camera system.
6. Be responsible for sending out various pages as requested or directed through the Emergency Notification System (Everbridge).
7. Perform any other duties as requested by a supervisor, the Operations Manager, or Director.

High school diploma or equivalent.
