Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an EKG Tech, you will perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) to assess cardiac function.
Every day you will prepare patients, explain procedures, and accurately operate EKG machines to record heart activity, ensuring comfort and high-quality readings.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, meticulous data collection, and excellent patient communication, contributing to accurate cardiac diagnostics.
- Electrocardiography (EKG):
a. Perform routine and STAT EKGs on adult inpatients and outpatients, including pediatric patients as needed.
b. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and calibration. - Holter Monitoring:
a. Apply Holter monitors to patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring patient comfort.
b. Accurately record patient information and monitor data, adhering to established protocols. - Pacemaker Interrogation:
a. Perform pacemaker interrogations, accurately recording data and identifying potential issues. - Telemetry Monitoring:
a. Provide technical support within the telemetry monitoring environment, ensuring accurate and timely monitoring of patient heart rhythms.
b. Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication. - Assist with other duties, including administrative tasks and patient care support.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Job Requirements

- High School Graduate, upon hire or
- High School GED, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 60 Days
