The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $22.03 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing quality audits on all urgent care registrations and providing results to urgent care education staff and supervisors. Responsible for the daily monitoring and management of multiple registration accuracy reports and resolving errors as indicated. Functions in the role of an Urgent Care Registrar.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews identified accounts and resolves issues by obtaining or correcting information
- Documents and reports trends and/or learning opportunities to clinical supervisor and Registration educator utilizing approved department document.
- Workman compensation validates registration information and correct errors as indicated to ensure accurate and timely billing of visit.
- Personal Pay validate registration information to ensure accurate billing, correct codes as indicated and provide education as needed
- MS4 daily census validate registration information with Cerner reports to ensure accurate clinic statistics. Enter department statistics into designated folder on the Y drive. Correct errors as indicated
- Performs quality audits on all UC registrations and documents findings on standard form
- Provides Registration Educator and clinical supervisor with documented audit findings and recommended follow up
- Assists Registration Educator with educational follow up activities
- Provides education and coaching as indicated in the absence of the registration educator
Job Requirements
Minimum:
Education and Experience:
High School/GED
Three (3) year experience in prior authorization, pre-certification, insurance benefits and how they apply to hospital registration or medical office setting
Two years (2) experience as Lead/Sr Registrar in an urgent care setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Training:
Computer knowledge, proficiency with software applications and basic knowledge of keyboard.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Prior authorization, pre-cert, and insurance benefits knowledge.
Excellent written and interpersonal communications
