Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and collaborative rehabilitation team on a Full-time basis. Primary Responsibilities and Caseload:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to an adult outpatient population. The primary caseload focus will encompass:

  • General Orthopedic Conditions: Assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions of the upper extremity. Experience or a strong interest in specialized hand therapy, including custom orthotic fabrication and modification, is highly desirable and a significant plus.
  • Neurological Populations: Evaluation and intervention for individuals with neurological diagnoses such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. This includes addressing deficits in motor function, sensation, cognition, visual perception, and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Clinical Practice and Quality Commitment:

The therapist will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practice (EBP) by integrating the latest research and clinical expertise into daily treatment protocols. A core function of this role involves diligently utilizing established Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) to standardize care, ensure optimal patient outcomes, and contribute to the overall value of our services. This includes:

  • Conducting thorough initial evaluations to establish accurate diagnoses and personalized, measurable goals.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that utilize therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, adaptive equipment recommendations, and activity modification strategies.
  • Documenting all patient interactions, progress, and outcomes clearly, concisely, and in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

We are offering a $10,000 Sign-on Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program 
  • Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting 
  • Licensed by AZ State Board of Occupational Therapy
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate

Preferred

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Two (2) years of progressive experience in an Outpatient setting
  • Experience or a strong interest in specialized hand therapy, including custom orthotic fabrication and modification
