Transfer Coordinator
The posted compensation range of $20.13 - $30.65 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Coordinates all processes, support, communication and documentation involved in transferring patients from one facility to another facility, as well as support physician consults. Transfer Coordinators also required to recognize and uphold all regulatory requirements, while simultaneously updating key stakeholders of timelines. Accurately enters all required data into EPIC database. Coordinates with Flight for Life for patient transports.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- One to two years of direct clinical experience in Emergency Department/Critical Care Unit, or one to two years of full time direct administrative healthcare experience, or one to two years transfer center experience
- Certified Heatlhcare Access Associate succesfully completed within 18 months of employment. Certification must be obtained while employed.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, excellent computer skills, customer service, ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
Physical Requirements-Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
