The Mountain Region Director of Service Line Marketing is responsible for driving service and service line engagement and growth throughout the region and associated markets. This role will oversee the development and implementation of strategic marketing strategies and initiatives to promote specific services and service lines, position them within the region and markets, and engage target audiences. The Director will collaborate with region and market leaders to develop and implement marketing and communications plans to promote service lines, drive patient volume and revenue, while ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Service and Service Line Promotion and Growth:
Develop and implement integrated marketing programs and strategies to position and promote strategic services and service lines throughout the region and associated markets.
Collaborate with service line leaders and stakeholders to understand their goals and develop marketing and communication strategies and plans to deliver on organizational goals. Many of these stakeholders include operational and clinical leaders of hospitals and clinics.
Monitor and analyze market trends and service line performance to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.
Segmentation and Targeting:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.
Develop and implement strategies to effectively reach and engage specific segments and audiences for priority services and service lines.
Utilize data analytics and insights to personalize marketing and engagement efforts while enhancing the consumer and patient experience.
Media and Engagement Strategies:
Develop and implement media and engagement strategies to reach consumer/patients populations and drive engagement.
Collaborate with media agencies to optimize media buying and placement across various channels.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize media spend and maximize ROI.
Campaign Development:
Lead the development and implementation of compelling service line campaigns throughout the region and across various channels, including broadcast, digital, social media, print and direct marketing.
Oversee the development of marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives for service lines.
Work with system brand and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across all service line marketing channels and touchpoints throughout the region.
Physician and Referral Marketing:
Develop and implement strategies to engage and educate referring physicians and healthcare professionals about the healthcare system's service lines.
Provide marketing support and resources to referring physicians to enhance their knowledge of the services offered.
Collaborate with physician liaison teams to build relationships and support referrals.
Community Outreach:
Develop and implement community outreach programs and initiatives to raise awareness of the healthcare system's service lines.
Participate in local health fairs, community events, and wellness programs to promote service lines.
Collaborate with local organizations and community leaders to sponsor relevant events and initiatives.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze the performance of service line marketing initiatives.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient volume, revenue, and patient satisfaction.
Provide regular reports and analysis to senior leadership and service line leaders.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the marketing budget for service line marketing initiatives.
Ensure efficient allocation of resources and monitor marketing expenses.
Provide financial reports and analysis to senior leadership.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead a high-performing service line marketing team and foster a collaborative and innovative culture throughout the region marketing & communications department.
Provide leadership and support to region and market-based teams to ensure successful implementation and optimization of service line marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including service line leaders, marketing teams, and senior executives, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategies.
Must work in CommonSpirit’s region headquarters at least three days per week.
Office hours are relatively standard. Limited requirement to participate in work-related activities (i.e., a company-sponsored event) on evenings and weekends.
Demonstrable experience establishing and using marketing ROI metrics and performance reporting.
- Natural willingness to seek feedback from peers and leaders for performance improvement.
- Excellent presentation, both formal and informal, skills.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, preferably driving engagement and growth in health care services and service lines.
Proven track record of successfully developing and executing consumer-focused marketing strategies and campaigns.
Strong understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to various audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Ability to work in a large geographically diverse system.
Physical Requirements:
