The Region Director, Physician Enterprise - Ambulatory Quality reports to the System SVP of PE Region or their designee with a dotted line report to the System SVP of Ambulatory Quality. The Physician Enterprise Region Director of Ambulatory Quality provides effective leadership and direction from an ambulatory quality and patient safety perspective within clinic practices across the Region. This role collaborates with the System Vice President of Ambulatory Quality, market Physician Enterprise Senior Vice President(s), Population Health quality leadership, System Vice President of Clinical Standards and Variation Reduction, Clinical Quality & Risk Liaison, Region Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety and other leadership team members in the common goal of standardization, integration and enhancement of clinic-based services available within designated geographic area(s). This role designs and oversees the Region's Ambulatory Quality Structure, Performance Improvement approach, Patient Safety and Infection Prevention activities, and deployment of national initiatives to achieve highly reliable processes, outstanding clinical outcomes and improvements to population health across the care continuum. In addition to the primary responsibilities of this role, this position role is also expected to support other existing market responsibilities, ensuring alignment of ambulatory quality initiatives with market-specific needs and priorities including being a resource to employees and management, councils, physicians and teams on quality management activities and will handle patient sensitive and confidential clinic information.

Ideal candidate will have a background in nursing and be located within the region for travel purposes. 


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 5 years progressive clinical leadership experience in healthcare required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality in a leadership role required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory quality required.
  • Bachelors of Science Degree or Equivalent in a related clinical discipline required
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is required within two years of employment.
  • Experience in a matrix management environment involving integration of multiple entities is strongly desired.

Physical Requirements
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
