The posted compensation range of $35.00 - $35.02 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Market Director, Sports Medicine performs a variety of duties involved in the treatment and prevention of injury and in the care, evaluation, and rehabilitation of athletes and/or active individuals involved in sports and/or fitness. Provide athletic training services to athletes and/or active individuals under the direction of the team physician, in accordance with the state of Colorado athletic training practice act and within the scope of services as defined by the national athletic training association board of certification. May be called on to perform other duties as assigned. The incumbent must perform many of the outlined tasks with minimal or no supervision.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Required Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training
- Required one year experience as an Athletic Trainer
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA-BOC)
- Certification is required. Must hold licensure by the
- Colorado DORA or be eligible to be licensed in the State of Colorado.
- Required Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:
- Minimum 1 year of Athletic Training experience.
- Must be willing and able to travel and work irregular hours.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population including but not limited to, athletes, coaches, administrative staff, physicians, volunteers and other medical personnel.
- Relevant job setting experience preferred.
