Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Environmental Services Specialty Technician, you will play a critical role in our clinical environment. You’ll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized, protecting everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards.
Every day you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility, ensuring our hospital remains a safe haven for healing. You will learn and adhere to strict disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids and sharp objects, while managing supply levels for soap, paper towels, and clean linens.

Responsibilities
- Floor Care: Perform all types of comprehensive floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing carpets as assigned.
- Sanitization: Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas using specialized equipment and chemical solutions to maintain a sterile environment.
- Biohazard Management: Safely collect, transport, and dispose of biohazardous waste, sharps, and soiled linens in strict accordance with hospital safety protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly clean, maintain, and store all cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supply Management: Monitor and replenish all dispensers (soap, paper towels, sanitizer) and deliver clean linens to various departments throughout the facility.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify and report maintenance needs, ensuring all environmental health and safety standards are met.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred
- Previous Healthcare experience.
