Responsibilities
Day Full Time Interventional Radiology Nurse
Our Interventional Radiology department is part of Mercy San Juan’s Comprehensive Stroke Center which includes Biplane Acute Stroke Therapies. Responsibilities of our nursing staff includes conscious sedation monitoring documentation and patient/family education for procedures that include outpatient up to inpatients from critical care units on ventilators with ICP monitoring. Comprehensive Neuro education is a large part of the nursing care in this unit.
As a Trauma Center and Stroke Center of Excellence Mercy San Juan Interventional Radiology RNs have the opportunity to monitor stroke/trauma patients as well as coordinate patient care for all inpatient and outpatient Interventional Radiology procedures.
The Registered Nurse provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing as holistic approach the registered nurse provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. Demonstrates competency in service for neonate pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients. As a professional the registered nurse is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Current CA RN licensure
- 2 year experience in critical care with at least 1 year in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology with demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythms, basic ECG interpretation and cardiac hemodynamics
- Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
- AHA PALS certificate within 6 months of hire
- Call required
