Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 384-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California.  We have served north Sacramento County as well as south Placer County for over 50 years. Our facility is one of the area's largest medical centers and also one of the most comprehensive.  Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to community well-being; providing excellent patient care to all.  Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a Comprehensive Stroke Center as well as a Spine Center of Excellence. We are proud recipients of the Perinatal Care Certificate of Excellence and a Certificate of Excellence for Hip and Knee Replacements.

Position Summary:

If you enjoy a busy and multi-faceted team-oriented Emergency Department environment and want to be part of a national leader in trauma care this is the place for you! Mercy San Juan Medical Center is Sacramento area’s first Comprehensive Stroke Center and we are a Regional receiving center for many specialties including: trauma ortho high risk maternity NICU and STEMI. Our fast-paced 31-bed Emergency Department has skilled physicians who work closely with specially trained nurses and other healthcare professionals to see the approximate 80000 patients each year. Our success directly correlates with high employee satisfaction scores which can be attributed to our collaborative practice with physicians management and our involvement of staff in peer interviews.

The incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach the incumbent provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional the incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse ED

$15,000 - Sign On Bonus offered for new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

Minimum:

  • 2 years recent experience in an Emergency department as a RN within the last 5 years
  • Current CA RN licensure
  • Current BLS ACLS and PALS from the American Heart Association
  • TNCC required within 6 months of hire
  • MICN required within 2 years of hire
