Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Unit Coordinator II/Technician, you will be a vital caregiver responsible for patients across all age groups, providing essential direct care and coordinating unit operations.
Every day you will perform basic patient care (e.g., vital signs, bathing, ambulating), facilitate unit operations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams under the guidance of nursing and medical staff.
To be successful in this role, you will exhibit strong organizational skills, direct patient care abilities, and a collaborative spirit essential for delivering safe, therapeutic care and ensuring efficient unit function.
- Job Functions: Unit Support Tech
- Transports patients, supplies, lab specimens and related materials. Measurements: Observation, Feedback.
- Restocks stock supplies on anesthesia carts. Measurements: Observation, Feedback.
- Maintains units/department by keeping utility areas and hallways clear of equipment, supplies, and gurneys. Measurements: Observation, Feedback.
- Empties wastebaskets and linen bags, replaces filled Sharps containers and maintains oxygen tanks. Measurements:
- Observation, Feedback, Equipment condition.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- less than 1 year Six (6) months recent hospital experienceas a CNA, CT or UST preferred., upon hire
