The posted compensation range of $56.15 - $66.74 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
- Abuse Protection and Reporting: Identifies and reports patient abuse and neglect i.e.: physical assault, domestic abuse and neglect of elders and children. Measurement: Feedback, Chart Review, Observation.
- Annual Performance Evaluations: Assists Therapy Manager/Supervisor in annual performance reviews of therapy assistants and aides and works to assist these team members in improving job performance. (NA - per diem) Measurement: Feedback, Observation.
- Assessment: Accurately identifies patient's functional deficits/dysfunction through review of the medical record, through observation of the patient, through information obtained from the patient/family, and through manual muscle testing, range of motion testing, postural analysis, functional analysis and other physical therapy assessment techniques.
- Accurately interprets the physician's order. Measurement: Discussion, Feedback, Chart Review, Observation.
- Communication: Communicates regularly with other members of the healthcare team regarding goals, progress and rehab potential. Works as a collaborative member of the treatment team. Attends any necessary and appropriate patient care meetings, such as mini rounds, weekly patient care conference, weekly NICU discharge meetings, etc. Measurement: Feedback, Observation.
- Continuing Education: Presents at least one departmental or hospital inservice per year and attends at least one department/hospital inservice a month. (NA - per diem) Measurement: Observation.
