The posted compensation range of $23.00 - $27.01 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
In keeping with the Dignity Health core values supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care. Actively participating member is systems functions and activities of the unit/department. The CNA provides care for and activities of daily living comfort and safety.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Qualifications
- Six (6) months recent hospital or long term care facility experience as CNA
- High school education
- Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program
- Nurse Assistant Certification (CT NA)
- CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
Special Skills:
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly concisely and accurately.
- Ability to utilize and learn new computer programs for documentation
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Operate IVAC thermometer vital sign check machine blood pressure cuff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures
- Ability to educate family members regarding appropriate activities listed below as indicated by ability of resident and willingness of family
- Ability to perform care functions that may include but not necessarily be limited to:
- Ambulation
- Eating assistance
- ADLs
- ROM (AROM & PROM)
- Bowel and Bladder Training
- Splint/Brace/Prosthesis placement/care
