Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Sonographer, you will perform cardiac diagnostic procedures, including echos, stress tests, and vascular, on a variety of patient populations including adult, and geriatric patients, in our outpatient Cardiology clinic.

Every day you are responsible for the performance of complex cardiac diagnostic procedures, as well as explaining the procedure before beginning each study, patient prep, calibrating equipment, entering patient data, and preparing test results for physicians' interpretation.

To be successful in this role, you must have the enthusiasm to help others and the desire to have a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families as you play a huge role in the patient experience.

Please note:  This is an on-call, non-benefitted position.

  • Performs Echocardiogram procedures including Transthoracic Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms with Cardiologist, Stress Echocardiograms with Cardiologist
  • Completes Echocardiogram reports and process's finalized Echocardiogram reports for Medical billing
  • Performs Echocardiograms requiring independent judgement and Initiative
  • Participates with ICAEL accreditation and QA
  • Assist with a teaching environment with students and new employees
Job Requirements

Required:

  • One (1) year of experience
  • High school diploma or GED and completion of Echocardiography program
  • Currently have, or obtain within 12 months of hire, one of the following credentials:
    • Registered Cardiac Electr
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
    • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography
    • Registered Vascular Technologist
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo
