The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $28.09 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Activities Assistant, you will be instrumental in bringing joy and engagement to our residents' lives by supporting and facilitating enriching activities.
Every day, you will assist with the preparation, implementation, and cleanup of various daily activities, directly interacting with residents to encourage participation and provide support. You will help create a welcoming and fun environment for all.
To be successful in this role, you will be compassionate, energetic, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Your ability to connect with residents and contribute to a positive team environment will be highly valued.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill in leading pre-planned group activities. Measurements: Observation
- Implement, develop and conduct activities for residents unable to leave their rooms. Brings audio, reading materials and visual VCR Videos by bedside upon request Measurements: Observation, Feedback.
- Posts monthly activity schedule in rooms and assists all patients/residents with stimulating projects, transportation to/from rooms and clean ups. Measurements: Observation, Patient Care.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability while on field-trips and outings, cultural, religious, and educational activities. Measurements: Observation, Patient Care.
- Documents assessment at time of admission of the patient within 7 days, and notes change of condition. Measurement: Documentation.
- Maintains a current record of the type and frequency of activities provided and the names of residents participating. Measurement: Documentation.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School GED or
- High School Graduate
- 36 hour activity course or community group involvement
- Advanced Burn Life Support, upon hire
