CHI Franciscan Health is seeking a Clinical Manager for our Family Birth Center at St Anne Hospital. The individual in this role will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated skilled clinicians and accepting accountability for 24/7 operational management for the Family Birth Center. The role provides key leadership for a unit that consistently achieves very strong quality and patient perception of care outcomes. The Clinical Manager position reports to the Family Birth Center Director and works in collaboration with the perinatal Unit Based Educator. Come Join our Team!


Responsibilities

Job Summary


This job is responsible for organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities for the designated department and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Accountable for daily operations and oversight of nursing practice and patient care delivery. Participates as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care. Contributes to organizational operations and supports the mission by fostering interdepartmental communication/collaboration. Demonstrates a high level of ability in leadership, supervisory skills, problem solving, patient advocacy and public relations.

  • The individual who fills this position will provide leadership for a high performing team of caring and dedicated professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the department director and a talented and engaged nursing leadership team under the leadership of the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Job responsibilities will include developing a team of both new and experienced staff, managing staff productivity/operational budget, actively engaging in performance and quality improvement activities in collaboration with the director, maintaining an environment of regulatory readiness, and establishing and maintaining a positive culture that fosters teamwork, high performance, and a healthy work environment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN or Bachelors’ Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Three years’ experience and clinical knowledge in perinatal clinical specialty.
  • Two years in a charge nurse/ leadership or equivalent position required.

License/Certification

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
