Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nuclear Med Tech II, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.
Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.
To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.
- Demonstrates mastery of all Nuc Med Tech I Accountabilities/Responsibilities and has completed a minimum of 1 year service in the Nuc Med Tech I position
- Performs in‐vitro/in‐vivo studies as outlined in the nuclear medicine procedure manuals. Makes determinations of the validity of the data collected before submission for interpretation
- Mentors new employees and students on the proper use of the camera/computer systems, study procedures
- Appropriately and professionally reacts to process or procedure deviations
- Assists with the formal clinical/technical education process of the department by preparing and presenting 2 staff in‐services per year on a topical subject
- Independently performs all Functions regarding the safe and compliant operation of the radiopharmacy and all associated documentation. Educates and mentors qualified staff on proper radio, pharmacy procedures

Job RequirementsRequired
- Three (3) years Nuclear Medicine experience
- Medical Radiographer: TX (MRT)
- One of the following:
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTNM)
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days of hire
Preferred
- Associates Degree
