Are you a passionate RN with a knack for detail and a commitment to quality?  Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Peer Review team. This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds – the collaboration of an office environment and the flexibility of remote work.

Make a Real Difference:

As a Peer Review RN, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You'll be instrumental in:

  • Improving Patient Safety:  Identify and address clinical performance and unprofessional conduct issues through thorough reviews of medical records, reports, and other documentation.
  •  Mentoring and Supporting Providers: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to facilitate improvement in individual performance and clinical documentation.
  • Driving Systemic Change: Analyze data, identify trends, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance quality of care initiatives.
  •  Shaping Policy: Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our peer review processes.



Responsibilities include:

  •  Executing peer review screenings based on established quality indicators.
  •  Reviewing medical documentation to identify areas of concern.
  •  Analyzing clinical cases and escalating issues as needed.
  •  Facilitating OPPE and FPPE evaluations.
  •  Preparing case studies for presentation to medical staff committees.
  •  Supporting committee meetings and documenting outcomes.
  •  Sharing data and collaborating on systemic improvement strategies.
  •  Maintaining provider quality files and preparing reports for leadership.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field.
  •  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  •  Four years of related work experience.
  •  Current Washington State RN license.
  •  Strong analytical and communication skills.
  •  Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (Epic experience a plus).
