Responsibilities
Job Summary
This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within our fast-paced emergency department. You will be responsible for preparing and operating radiographic imaging equipment to perform patient exams and related procedures, ensuring clear and accurate images for diagnosis. You will also perform basic patient care functions under the direction of a provider, including vital signs, point-of-care testing, and patient support.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and operate radiographic imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality results.
- Verify equipment functionality and select appropriate protocols for each patient.
- Room and prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns.
- Perform basic patient care functions, including vital signs, point-of-care testing, and assisting with patient mobility.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with department protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in patient care.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
- American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (R) certification.
- Current State of Washington licensure as a Radiology Technologist – Certified.
- Current Washington state licensure as Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) within 90 days of hire.
- Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
