Responsibilities

The Ambulance Manager is responsible for the overall operational oversight of the St. Francis ambulance service:  

  • This includes staffing, patient care, vendor relationships, community service, and working with other areas of the hospital to facilitate patient care.  
  • The department operates 24/7, 365 days per year and the manager is expected to be available for all extraordinary events including after hours, weekends, and holidays.  
  • May be required to work during man-made or natural disasters that include austere conditions(possibly no showers, housing in tents, portable toilets), extreme weather conditions (long exposure to heat and humidity, lack of air conditioning, extreme cold or wet environments), and long periods of standing.


Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Certification or Diploma from an approved Paramedic program

EMT-P:MN

BLS-CPR

ACLS

PALS

1-2 years’ experience as a Paramedic
