The posted compensation range of $16.30 - $22.42 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As a CNA at CHI St. Francis Health, you will help our patients by providing nursing care to our Long Term Care (LTC) residents under the direction of the physician or registered nurse.
Every day you will work with our patients to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine compassion for your patients’ well-being and understand the role you play in helping our our patients feel at ease. You also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions and update documentation.

Responsibilities
The Certified Nurse Assistant (herewith referred to as C.N.A.) provides daily cares of residents in the nursing home by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Fulfills basic quality of life needs for residents
- Answer call lights
- Assist with preparation of meals, serve meals, feed patients
- Vital signs (BP, T, P, R, and SaO2) weight measurements
- Make beds, keep rooms clean
- Ambulating, turning and positioning patients
- Knowledge of isolation techniques
- Reporting observations of patient to unit supervisor
- Documentation of care provided
- Safe patient handling (for self and patient)
- Laundering of residents clothing
- Strong work ethic and ability
Non-essential Job Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Certified Nursing Assistant or be enrolled in a Nursing Assistant class and willing to obtain certification for the position within six (6) months
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Must be at least 16 years of age
Reliable attendance
Customer Service Skills
Ability to use computer charting
Ability to work as part a team
Ability to operate equipment needed to assess patient
