Responsibilities
The Activities Assistant is responsible for carrying out scheduled events, updating care plans as necessary, transporting residents to and from activities, and keeping records of attendance in daily activities.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule activities keeping in mind residents interests and using good judgment in organizing work and setting priorities.
- Prepares for activities ensuring all necessary supplies are available, transports residents to and from activity.
- Maintains neighborhood activity calendar.
- Completes activity attendance records, written and oral reports/recommendations regarding activities of the neighborhood.
- Completes appropriate sections of the MDS documentation, admission assessment on all new residents, quarterly summary of resident psychosocial status and identifying activity needs.
- Assists with direct care when needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
