Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. 

Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

  • Prepares patients for practitioner visits by rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and presenting concerns while ensuring patient privacy, comfort, mobility assistance, and efficient patient flow for timely care and education.
  • Collects and communicates patient information through in-person and telephone interactions, responds appropriately to patient needs, manages triage protocols for routine situations, and escalates urgent or emergent concerns to the RN or provider as appropriate.
  • Performs and assists with clinical procedures, diagnostic testing, and patient care activities within scope of licensure and established protocols, including EKGs, spirometry, vision/hearing screenings, wound care, suture/staple removal, catheter care, splint application, and support during complex nursing care situations.
  • Obtains and processes laboratory and point-of-care testing specimens, including venipuncture, swabs, urine, and stool samples; performs CLIA-waived testing and accurately documents results in accordance with established clinical standards and procedures.
  • Administers medications, vaccines, IV fluids, nebulizer treatments, and other approved therapies under provider or RN supervision; maintains medication inventory, controlled substance counts, temperature logs, and medication documentation in compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Maintains accurate patient documentation, processes prescription refills and provider orders, supports communication of lab results and follow-up care, and ensures exam rooms, instruments, equipment, and contaminated materials are cleaned, sterilized, stocked, and maintained according to infection control and safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing., upon hire.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse: WA, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.


Preferred

  • One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting or
  • two years of acute care LPN work experience
