As a Phlebotomist, You Will:

  • Expertly Collect Samples: Perform venous and capillary punctures on all patient age groups, including critical Blood Bank collections, mastering accurate techniques to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prioritize Patient Care: Practice positive patient identification and embody "HumanKindness" in every interaction, fostering a courteous and supportive environment.
  • Maintain Efficiency: Manage specimen processing and ensure rapid turnaround times by effectively organizing draw requests and maintaining orderly work areas.
  • Collaborate & Support: Work seamlessly within the lab department, assisting colleagues, ensuring smooth workflow, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
  • Uphold Standards: Diligently follow all isolation, hand sanitization, and blood collection procedures, maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
  • Grow & Learn: Assist with phlebotomy training, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Required Licensure & Certifications:

  • State-Specific Phlebotomy Certification/License (as applicable to state of practice):
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) Certification:Required upon hire or transfer.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Phlebotomy program certificate.
