In this essential role, you'll work closely with our nursing staff, providing direct, personalized care to patients on your assigned unit. You'll be instrumental in creating a supportive and healing environment, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.

What You'll Do (A Glimpse into Your Role):

  • Direct Patient Care:Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene (bathing, grooming), feeding, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Patient Monitoring:Take vital signs, record weights, and meticulously track intake/output, promptly reporting any concerns to the assigned nurse.
  • Comfort & Safety:Respond to call lights, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Documentation:Accurately complete all necessary forms, reports, and records.
  • Compassionate Support:Foster a healing environment by providing physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent (with strong reading, writing, and medical terminology comprehension).
  • Licensure:Must be listed on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Nurse Assistant Registry or be eligible for immediate placement following St. Alexius Medical Center's orientation and training.
  • Experience (Preferred):Previous hospital or aide experience, or successful completion of a certification/training program.
