Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.
- Clinical Proficiency: Executes screening and diagnostic procedures with a high level of accuracy and precision
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adheres to all established radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversees the routine operation of imaging equipment and ensures all quality control (QC) requirements are met
- Patient-Centered Care: Delivers compassionate care tailored to meet the specific physical and emotional needs of every patient
- Professional Excellence: Consistently upholds high standards of professional practice and ethical conduct in the clinical environment
- Regulatory Leadership: Provides proactive leadership in maintaining and documenting adherence to all MQSA standards
Required
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred. Must actively work toward registry and licensure in Mammography and Bone Densitometry as required by MQSA and the ND state NDMIRT
- Radiography skills and clinical experience obtained in School of Radiologic Technology
Preferred
- Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required
- Preference for one year experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Preference for Bone Densitometry experience
- Prior Epic experience beneficial
