The posted compensation range of $27.65 - $38.02 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Invasive Technologist, you will help licensed physicians provide and coordinate high-quality patient care so they can achieve optimal patient outcomes within the Heart and Vascular Center, aligning with CHI St. Alexius Health's mission and philosophy. Every day you will perform complex angiography procedures and assist physicians during interventions. You will be expected to demonstrate technical and professional knowledge in patient care, manage equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and facilitate accurate imaging for interpretation. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong knowledge of angiography procedures, patient assessment skills, radiation safety, and critical thinking, alongside a commitment to excellent patient care.
- Advanced Angiography & Patient Preparation: Demonstrates expert knowledge in performing angiography procedures, preparing patients (including contrast prep, imaging, and circulating under physician direction), and meticulously managing imaging equipment for anatomical visualization
- Equipment & Radiation Safety Management: Manages the routine use and quality control of angiography equipment, adheres strictly to radiation safety protocols for all personnel, and assists with specialized equipment for diagnostic and emergent situations
- Patient Assessment & Care Coordination: Assesses patients for procedures, gathers pertinent data, uses professional judgment to select appropriate products, assists with patient transfers and education, and ensures high standards of patient care
- Imaging Workflow & Communication: Facilitates the timely delivery of completed exams for physician interpretation using current imaging technology, links exams, performs exception handling, and works professionally with physicians for quality imaging and reporting
- Operational Compliance & Support: Adheres to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies, maintains infection control, utilizes CPT coding correctly, assists with stocking room supplies, and meets required job-specific competencies
- Departmental Contribution & Development: Assists in establishing and implementing departmental goals, contributes to meeting Core Measure and Quality Control thresholds, attends departmental meetings, and actively pursues personal and professional growth

Job RequirementsRequired
- Graduation from a School of Radiologic Technology Member of the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Board of Examiners
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist
- Working knowledge of skills obtained in approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Ability to work independently to perform standard and complex procedures under minimal direction
Preferred
- 1 year experience as a Radiological Technologist
