The posted compensation range of $27.65 - $38.02 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
To provide and coordinate high quality patient care in all areas of the Heart and Vascular Center upon the order of a
licensed physician and in accordance with the mission and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health. These specialized
radiologic procedures include a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures requiring
experience and advanced training in cardiac cath lab.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Exhibits a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and is able to interpret data gathered during
procedures and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications
2. May apply manual pressure to the puncture site to obtain hemostasis following procedure and transport patients
to and from the procedure labs.
3. Utilize CPT coding for all procedures, staying current on the charging CPT coding system.
4. Operates manifold, power injector and other support equipment as needed.
5. Anticipates physician needs by being knowledgeable of: 1. procedures performed in the department and 2.
equipment (catheter, guide wires, etc.) necessary for procedures
6. Sets up sterile trays and is able to assist physicians during procedures, utilizing aseptic technique.
7. Prepares skin prior to procedures using proficient aseptic technique; prepares and administers contrast as
indicated; performs exams under the supervision and direction of the physician.
8. Assists in maintaining inventory control including maintaining room supplies by restocking and preparing room
for the next exam.
9. Administers CPR, defibrillation, Ambu, etc. as ordered by physician during procedure.
10. Assists in patient education related to procedure.
11. Helps to efficiently run schedules by maintaining a smooth and steady rate of work by working
independently. Communicate with other room staff and schedule coordinator to maximize the productivity of
the entire department. Perform other duties as assigned throughout the Heart and Vascular Center to enhance
patient care and efficiency.
12. Adheres to HIPPAA regulations and CHI St. Alexius Health policies.
Qualifications
Required Education
1. Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology -
Invasive Program (Associate of Applied Science) AND Obtain
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) licensure
within ONE year
OR
2. Graduate from a School of Radiological Technology AND
member of the North Dakota Imaging and Radiation Board of
Examiners (NDMIRT)
Required Licensure and Certifications
1. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) within 480 hours of
employment and with re-certification as required.
2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently to perform standard and
complex procedures under minimum direction.
PREFERRED Qualifications
- Preferred one year experience as an RT or CVT/RCIS within a
cardiac environment.
