Job Summary / Purpose
The HR Coordinator establishes partnerships across the HR function, including multiple Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver value within the division and serves as a HR technical and tactical partner. Responsible for supporting a positive employee life cycle, as well as aligning processes to support human resources, leaders and team members through a variety of responsibilities.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Culture –Assists the HR leader with integrating culture standards consistent with the CommonSpirit Health’s mission, vision and values into business unit/facility/market/division practices and processes to ensure all employees experience and engage in supporting the desired work culture.
- Service Excellence – provides a high level of customer service by ensuring needs are met in a timely manner.
- Supports HR team in educating team members and leaders regarding human resource policies, this includes locating enterprise and divisional policies.
- Supports the onboarding process for new team members, this includes facilitating and monitoring candidate experience to ensure alignment with culture and efficiency of activities.
- Coordinates day-to-day HR administrative tasks to ensure compliance and accuracy of data being entered into HR systems, also include HR records management.
- Assist HR team with managing and preparing for JACHO surveys (records compliance).
- Assist HR team with collecting and analyzing data to monitor HR goals, employee relations trends and turnover.
- Assists HR team in identifying and implementing HR best practices to align, partner and collaborate with leadership to ensure high standards of service.
- Identifies and mitigates risks and resolves human capital matters. Remains proactive in compliance with Federal and State laws, such as EEO, Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment. Educates leaders and employees on Labor Relations legislation and serves as a resource for maintaining a positive work environment.
- Serves as a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions team members and leaders might have, and provides HR systems training as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the leader and organization.
Centers of Expertise (CoE) Utilization: Collaborates with HR team to support the accomplishment of business goals, objectives, and outcomes:
- Supports HR tactical business needs, in partnership with the HR team, for effective people management and operational performance.
- Assists the HR team with the development and implementation of programs/initiatives to increase recruitment, onboarding, retention, engagement, diversity inclusion and belonging.
Required Education and Experience | Bachelor’s Degree, or Associates Degree with one year relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED and three years relevant experience. |

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | Proficient with Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrates exceptional customer service skills. Knowledge of terminology and competencies demonstrated in an HR environment. |
