Job Summary and Responsibilities
Bariatric Program Coordinator (RN) | Lead Accreditation & Patient Navigation
We're searching for a dedicated Registered Nurse to lead our Bariatric Surgery Program as a Bariatric Program Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure our program's excellence and compliance with MBSAQIP standards while providing comprehensive care coordination and seamless navigation for bariatric patients, their families, and caregivers. You'll be instrumental in shaping programming, driving quality, and fostering an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing MBSAQIP accreditation, compliance, and outcomes data submission.
- Serving as the designated contact for bariatric patients, facilitating interactions with the clinical care team.
- Assessing, implementing, and evaluating overall programming of the Bariatric Service Line.
- Coordinating clinical activities, professional and public education, and quality improvement.
- Functioning as a liaison between multidisciplinary teams and patients/families.
- Ensuring pre- and post-operative support group availability.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an active, unencumbered RN license.
- BSN preferred.
- 1 year related clinical experience (clinic or acute care).
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in obesity disease management and/or weight loss surgery.
- Strong verbal, written, and computer skills; ability to anticipate and resolve problems.
