Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Serve Meals:Execute daily meal service for residents, patients, and SLS, ensuring timely and appealing presentations.
  • Maintain a Pristine Kitchen:Effectively utilize and maintain kitchen equipment. This includes handling both hot and cold food items carefully and hygienically.
  • Follow Standardized Recipes:Accurately follow standardized quantity food recipes to ensure consistent quality and portion control.
  • Collaborate and Communicate:Work closely with Aides, Nurses, and the Dietitian to ensure smooth meal service and address any resident/patient needs.
  • Problem Solve:Proactively brainstorm and contribute ideas for possible solutions to food service challenges as they arise, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Uphold Safety and Compliance:Diligently adhere to all Minnesota Department of Health safety standards and LakeWood's internal policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant environment.
  • Manage Inventory:Assist with stocking food items, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
  • Maintain Accurate Records:Complete essential documentation for food records, grocery items, and temperature logs.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED Preferred
1 year cooking experience preferred but not required.  We will help train you!
